What is Hi/Lo?
Hi/Lo Handymen Services is a small, family-owned business. The name is a tribute to my late father-in-law, the original DIY-er. He was a white-collar guy with his master builders license, and he taught me almost everything I know. When we were young and we would show up to do projects he would always ask us, “Do you want to be High Man or Low Man today?” It was always a trap and no matter how you answered, you got the short end of the stick. If you chose High Man, you were on a ladder all day, or in a tree or on a roof. If you chose Low Man, you were in a crawl space, on your knees all day or in the muck of the lake. It is a long-standing family joke and now, I have the honor of raising my boys in the image of their grandpa, teaching them all the tools of home, yard and community maintenance that they need to know. Our team does everything from small one-hour projects to larger multi-week projects like whole house painting.
